Delete your Takely account

Last updated November 5, 2026

The short version

Takely (published by Takely) lets you delete your account from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, your email address and every cloud backup are removed from our servers, and the logs on the phone you confirm from are erased as well. If you never signed in, Takely holds no data about you on any server — deleting the app deletes everything.

1. In the app (recommended)

  1. Open Takely and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Account. You need to be signed in. If you are not, sign in first with the email address or Apple ID you used before.
  3. Below Sign out, tap Delete account.
  4. Read the notice, type DELETE in the confirmation field, then tap Delete permanently.

For your security, deletion requires a recent sign-in. If the app asks you to sign out and sign in again, do that and repeat the steps. Nothing is removed until our server confirms the deletion.

2. What is deleted

  • Your account record, including your email address, sign-in sessions and linked sign-in methods.
  • Every cloud backup of your health log stored under your account.
  • Your email preferences and our record of emails sent to you.
  • If you signed in with Apple, the Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked with Apple at the same time.
  • On the phone where you confirmed, the app also clears all local logs — doses, weight, symptoms, food-noise entries and notes — and switches cloud backup off.

Deletion happens immediately when you confirm. We do not keep a copy for a grace period, and a deleted account cannot be restored.

3. What stays

  • Your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — the store bills you, not Takely. Cancel it in the App Store (Settings › your name › Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions).
  • Anonymous usage statistics, if you left them on, were never linked to your identity and cannot be matched back to you.
  • Local logs on other devices. Only the device you confirm from is cleared. Takely data on any other device stays there until you delete the app on that device.

4. No account?

Signing in is optional in Takely. If you never signed in, nothing about you exists on our servers — your log lives only in the app's storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no account to delete.

5. By email

If you cannot open the app — for example, you no longer have the device — email [email protected] with the subject Delete my Takely account, sent from the email address you signed in with (or tell us which address it was). We will delete the account and its backups as described above and confirm within 30 days. Please do not include health records in the email.

6. Questions
